Biography
I was born in Zaria City in 1969. I attended Kofar Kuyanbana Primary School between 1975 to 1981 after which I proceeded to Kufena College, Zaria. In 1986 I obtained a WASC/GCE certificate, thereafter went to the College of Advanced Studies, Zaria. After successfully passing IJMB I secured admission into Ahmadu Bello University. In 1995, I obtained a B.Sc. Mathematics with Computer Science from A.B.U., Zaria.
After the mandatory National Youth Service, I joined the services of Kaduna State Polytechnic in 1996. In 1999 I joined the service of A.B.U. as a Programmer and head of Computer Unit of the Institute of Administration, A.B.U., Kongo Campus.
In 2004, I was selected by a US software firm Sentori Inc to work with their subsidiary in Nigeria, Afrisoft, to participate in the implementation of a customer care and billing system for mtel, which I worked as a Network Administrator and Business Development Officer of the company.
I also managed the implementation of a farmers' database for Zamfara State Comprehensive Agricultural Revolution Programme in 2005 and 2006.
Late 2006, I was recalled to the university and appointed the head of MIS, at the same time assigned to manage the implementation of students' registration Portal. In 2008, I got transferred to Multimedia and Web Services Unit of the ICT as the Head of Unit.
I have gone to a number of training programmes in Nigeria and abroad, some of which are: New Trends in Programming at National Mathematical Centre, Abuja, 1996; Windows NT Administration course, University of Jos, 1999; ICT Technicians Course at NUC, Abuja, 2001; Multi-tiered Architecture Programming using LAMP Technology at IIT Bombay and Votive Business Solution in India, 2003.
While in Kongo campus, I organized a number of Training Workshops for the staff of Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company and the then National Maritime Authority, Lagos. I also participated in a number of computer programming projects since 1995.
