Muhammad Shuaibu Umar

I was born in Zaria City, Kaduna State. I attended Kofar Kuyanbana Primary School between 1975 to 1981 after which I proceeded to Kufena College, Zaria. In 1986 I obtained a WASC/GCE certificate, thereafter went to the College of Advanced Studies, Zaria. After successfully passing IJMB I secured admission into Ahmadu Bello University. In 1995, I obtained a B.Sc. Mathematics with Computer Science from A.B.U., Zaria.

After the mandatory National Youth Service, I joined the services of Kaduna State Polytechnic in 1996. In 1999 I joined the service of A.B.U. as a Programmer and head of Computer Unit of the Institute of Administration, A.B.U., Kongo Campus.

In 2004, I was selected by a US software firm Sentori Inc to work with their partner, Afrisoft Ltd in Nigeria, to participate in the implementation of a customer care and billing system for mtel, which I worked as a Network Administrator and Business Development Officer of the company.

I have served in various committees both in the University and at the national level, such as the National Identity Database Harmonisation Committee.

My main interest is in Developing Dynamic Web Applications using PHP and MySQL.
