Information Technology Academy (ITA)

ABOUT ITA

The Academy provides teaching and capacity building services using industry based curricula to help enhance academic programs, promote IT vendor certification among undergraduates, postgraduates, staff and the general public and enable the youth to acquire ICT skills for growth and self-sustenance. In addition, it offers short term training to prepare individuals with industry sough ICT skills and certifications to address the ever growing needs of computer hardware and network professionals.

Functions of Information Technology Academy Unit (ITA)

• Source, assess, deploy and promote IT vendor training programs to enhance teaching, learning and research in the University.
• Provide favourable and attractive atmosphere for equal opportunity andparticipation especially for the girl child in ICT
• Search for and subscribe to ICT skills development, contests, and competitions for the Academy students to gain exposure, advantage in collaboration with R&BDU to showcase the university to the outside world.
